Volunteer for Clocktower Con

Volunteer FAQs

Where you volunteer will determine what job duties you perform. In general volunteers are the backbone of the convention. They help guide attendees, enforce rules, provide materials, and run events on behalf of Clocktower Con!

Volunteers are expected to work at least 12 hours throughout the weekend performing a variety of tasks within their department. Below is a brief description of each area or job role:

Registration/Badge-Check – Will help people pick up their badges and answer questions about the events and rooms.

Merchandise – Sell and distribute merch to attendees.

Clocktower Events – Check-In/Out Grimoires for Storytellers that are borrowing them, give time reminders to games in session, track scripts played/circle player counts.

Board Games – Watch over the board game library and help teach rules. Let attendees borrow games from the library.

Panels/Tracks/Special Events – Assist with any panels or special events throughout the convention.

Spareboard – The multi-purpose volunteer. To help support multiple departments with cleaning/monitoring/pitching in and helping when needed.

You also may be asked to help with set-up/tear down included in your 12 hours of work.

If chosen as a volunteer, you will receive a complementary weekend (Townsfolk) badge for the duration of the convention and a volunteer t-shirt. Additionally we grant you early access to sign up for events and you’re invited to the Saturday Night Volunteer pizza party.

Volunteers are responsible for their own hotel and lodgings.
