The 2024 Clocktower Con Costume Contest
Costume Contest Guidelines
- We recommend registering in advance for the event. While we can take some walk-ups day-of, those spots will be limited. Secure your spot by reserving a ticket here.
- Groups need to enter as one participant by registering on tabletop.events. If you’d like to register as a group and there are no tickets available please send an email to events @ clocktowercon.com
- All costumes must abide by the rules of the convention dress code and weapons policy. All costumes should provide enough coverage to be worn in public and should be appropriate for a PG13/ family-friendly show.
- As a courtesy to other attendees, please have any/all makeup or costuming done before the event.
- Judges will rate each costume separately and we will be combining our scores at the end to determine the winners.

- Best Adaptation
- Best Group Costume
- Fan Favorite
- Best in Show
Judging Criteria
All criteria will be judged on a scale from 1-10
- Originality – Does the costume stand out from the rest? Was the costume made creatively, colorfully, and does it show personality?
- Effort/Details- We will try and determine how hard each person had to work to complete their costume, find a rare prop, style the appropriate wig or make-up, etc…
- Accuracy- What we look at: how faithful your costume, hair, make-up and props are to the character/concept you’re dressing as.
- Handmade and self-constructed costumes will receive a bonus
